Dr. Arno Mundt is the Chairman of the Radiation Oncology Department, University of California, Moores Cancer Center. Dr. Mundt specializes in tumors of the female reproductive system, central nervous system and soft tissues. He is also interested in the role of radiation therapy in conjunction with high dose chemotherapy in patients with Hodgkin’s disease, Lymphoma and breast cancer.
Dr. Mundt’s focus is on the development and evaluation of novel radiation technologies, and implementing clinical trials that utilize existing technologies (IMRT, IGRT, DART). His long-term strategic plan includes the delivery of patient services to satellite facilities and the development of fellowship programs within the academic environment.
Dr. Richard Hesky received his medical degree from the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Affiliated Hospitals.
Hesky is a medical oncologist and hematologist and served as president of the medical staff at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in 2004. Hesky also has a private practice in medical oncology and hematology.
Since 1981, Hesky has served in a variety of positions including an emergency room physician, medical director of two hospice facilities and chief of oncology at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, joining the staff in 1986.
Hesky currently serves as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
