Johnny Benjamin, MD: Growing up in Houston, Texas, sports have always been and continue to be an integral part of Dr. Benjamin’s life. After graduating from Baylor University, he completed his medical degree at the University of Texas- Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX.
A change of scenery and climate was in order; therefore, he fulfilled his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. To conclude his 14th year of training, he completed his surgical spine fellowship at the Florida Spine Institute.
Today, he lives and works in warm and sunny Vero Beach, Florida. He serve as the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Indian River Medical Center, the Director of the Joint Implant Center and the Director of the Medical Specialties Surgery Center. He is a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He enjoys contributing to his community by promoting endeavors that help create opportunities for children.
